The Tanners Team
Tanners is a family-owned business with a strong family ethos that extends throughout the company. We employ about 115 people, bolstered with extra staff in the run-up to Christmas. At the core is a team of long-serving employees with a dozen having completed more than 30 years of service. At the same time, we regularly welcome fresh faces, bringing enthusiasm and talent – whether straight from education or from other companies within and beyond the wine trade.
Many of our staff begin with a keen interest in wine, food and travel. All are encouraged to take their Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) exams. Currently, around a dozen members of our team hold the WSET Diploma qualification, which is just one level below the prestigious Master of Wine.
Buying Team
They source all the wines, spirits and packaging for the companies and ensure that suitable stock levels are maintained. They also produce information on our products and assist with writing our offers.
Private House & Corporate Sales
Our Private House & Corporate Sales team is based in our Shrewsbury headquarters and should be your first port of call for wine advice, telephone ordering and mail order enquiries.
Marketing Team
Our Marketing Team are knowledgeable wine enthusiasts who manage all Tanners offers, promotional activities and events. They are the first port of call for press and other marketing type enquiries.
