We don't always go to visit, but we found boss Christian Seely on very good form. Pichon Baron looked a picture - it is photographed by every tourist who drives up the Route des Chateaux and justly so. Christian is very happy, the wine being top-notch too, big and rich with a lovely shape and style in the mouth. Cool fruit and delightfully textured with super balance and depth. The whole feels fresh, smooth and poised, very reflective of the vintage. We had a selfie, but Christian is holding a bottle of Suduiraut, also fabulous but more of that in the Sauternes section. 5-15+ years.
