Lochlea
This independent, family-owned farm and distillery was the brainchild of owner and MD, Neil McGeoch, when in 2014 he came up with the idea of selling his cattle and building a distillery instead. The farm is in Ayrshire in Scotland's Lowland region, here they distil and mature Single Malt Whisky from Barley grown on their own farm and use an onsite water source. The first liquid went into to barrel in 2018 and the first Whisky released in 2022. Today the distillery is managed by Darren McCormick with the able assistance of his team and Master Blender Jill Boyd. Being farmers sustainability is at the heart of what they do, and they have complete traceability for all the ingredients used.
