Verdicchio

A good, and less bland alternative to Pinot Grigio, Verdicchio can have a fine lick of lemon balancing some weight on the palate. The best are from Marche, and a few from the Veneto, but in general it is a no-frills Italian quaffer, great with a good plate of pasta or fish.
