Kaapzicht Wine Estate

Now in the hands of the fourth generation, under the stewardship of Danie Steytler Jr, winemaking is part of the Steytler family identity. They have farmed the land on their Kaapzicht (Cape View) estate, nestled in the idyllic Bottelary Hill, which form the backdrop to Stellenbosch, since 1946.

For Kaapzicht, the terroir is not just about the land, but the people who are custodians of it. The Steytler family extends to their supportive team, including generations of families who have helped produce their rich and opulent wines.

One of the premium producers of Pinotage in South Africa, Kaapzicht are in the process of moving to organic and regenerative agriculture.
