With less than five acres (J Robinson et al 2016) remaining on Madeira, we are looking at a virtually extinct grape here. However, Madeira wines are so long-lived that you can come across these bottles, marked Terrantez and tasting sweet, on the island… and from a good wine merchant’s cellars!
